They would play music around   the house, sing in the church spanish choir, and they would always be   one of the first couples on the dance floor at family functions. While   growing up in Willcox, AZ Jennifer danced to Ranchera, Mariachi, and   Cumbia music, to name a few. Jennifer moved to Tucson in 1997 and  always  kept her eyes, and ears open for new Latin music. In 2001 while  working  at a local restaurant and club she found the music she was  meant to  dance to....SALSA! Jackie Whately

Jackie began practicing yoga in 2002 at various gym settings. By  2006, she had fallen in love with the practice.  In 2008,  after taking a Level 1 YogaFit training, she knew she wanted more.  She graduated with a 200 hour training in March of 2010.
It  was during her 200 hour training  that Jackie found herself immediately intrigued  by a new and unique teaching style, which encompassed spirituality,  devotion, chanting, and sacred teachings.  In May of 2012, she received training for 500 hours in this style.  At  that time, she was given the Sanskrit name “Ananda”, which means bliss.
Jackie  is also a massage therapist. She brings her knowledge of anatomy and holistic health to  her classes and enjoys deepening her students’ practice with nurturing  hands-on adjustments. Savasana, the final resting pose in every yoga  practice, is heavenly in Jackie’s classes, with the added touch of  massage.
Jackie was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA.  She  recently moved here to Tucson, AZ with her husband Walter and their two  children, Gavin and Kiera.  Jackie enjoys gardening, riding her bike,  hiking, running, listening to live music and exploring Tucson with her  family.

Courtney Lewis

Courtney is a lover of music, movement and family! And for her, Zumba and Zumbini combine all those passions! As a teenager in Texas, Courtney considered herself a non-dancer. That all changed the day she, her mom and sister attended their first Zumba class! They all were instantly hooked. Fast forward to 2014, she and those same ladies became certified Zumba instructors! Courtney has taught Zumba at private studios in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma and is excited to now teach at Pointe of Grace in Tucson, AZ!

Courtney is a wife and mother of 3 young children. She is passionate about using the power of music to positively influence lives. After realizing her kids didn’t exactly love Zumba tunes (what’s wrong with them?!), and she herself wasn’t crazy about their nursery rhymes (Wee Willy Winky? Weally?), she was thrilled to discover Zumbini! Come join her class and find out for yourself the power of music, movement and bonding between caregiver and child!
